It was very easy to reach George and he understood exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately he could not join us for the tour itself as he had been summoned by the government to attend a meeting in Botswana - however his substitute, Shigo, was excellent, from one of the tribes in the valley and he made it very easy to go to many villages and meet villagers in each one instead of merely taking photos and racing on to the next village. As a result we had a much richer experience. Shigo was informative and entertaining and the drivers were excellent as well. I would recommend a visit to the Lower Omo valley and strongly recommend that you use Exciting Ethiopia Tours.

I contacted George after reading about his wonderful tours and was convinced I made the right decision to use him to book all my hotels, tour guides and excursions. We went to Northern Ethiopia first to see Lalibela and Gondar. George made all the arrangements with local guides in each city to meet us at the airport, take us on a tour and drop us off at the hotel in the evening. All meals and hotels were included and George was so flexible in customizing our tour based on the time we had. George's brother Fitsum met us in Southern Ethiopia for the second half of our magical trip. We visited 5 tribes and it was so humbling to see other lifestyles and how happy people can be with less material things, It was so interesting because Fitsum is a member of the Bana tribe and the ease with which he could speak many dialects was fascinating. Exciting Ethiopia Tours made my experience one of the most unique adventures I've ever had in my life. A life-changing trip! I say almost... read more only due to a weather delay we experienced in New York on way back to Texas. That aside, Ethiopia was incredible. The booking process was made easy by the owner, George. Any questions or concerns we had on our approaching trip, he was always there to answer the phone, provide updates and adjust our itinerary as needed. He made this long distance trip seem almost effortless and at no point did he seem irritated. Sorry about some of those late night questions 🙂 David was our driver for throughout our trip and what a great gentle soul he is. He took us to many different villages and showed us all the points of interest along the way. The food was awesome, the people were beautiful in every way, and if I could suggest just one place to anyone looking for an adventure, give Ethiopia a serious consideration.
