breathtaking - i have had the opportunity to do some traveling in the past few years, but this was by far the most exciting trip i have been on. My girlfriend made... read more all the arrangements thru George from Exciting Ethiopian Tours (EET) and we were not disappointed. The guides we had throughout the country were very knowledgeable and were able to communicate with us in English plus they spoke all the local dialects. The guide in Lalibela (Thomas) was native to that town and had tremendous insight into the local customs and traditions. Georges's brother Fitsum was our guide for the Omo Valley in the southern Ethiopia. His knowledge is unsurpassed. He took us to so many places from Goat and Cattle markets to many tribe villages, we got to see so much, i'm still processing it! We met so many amazing people on this trip, i think some of them will be lifelong friends.
thank you EET for this gift!
i cannot wait to go back and explore more of this amazing country.

Ethiopia Omo-Valley!! - I went on a multi day trip to Ethiopia with my wife and our grown son. We could not be more thrilled with almost the entire trip. I say almost... read more only due to a weather delay we experienced in New York on way back to Texas. That aside, Ethiopia was incredible. The booking process was made easy by the owner, George. Any questions or concerns we had on our approaching trip, he was always there to answer the phone, provide updates and adjust our itinerary as needed. He made this long distance trip seem almost effortless and at no point did he seem irritated. Sorry about some of those late night questions 🙂 David was our driver for throughout our trip and what a great gentle soul he is. He took us to many different villages and showed us all the points of interest along the way. The food was awesome, the people were beautiful in every way, and if I could suggest just one place to anyone looking for an adventure, give Ethiopia a serious consideration.

Inspired by simplicity, love and compassion. - My girlfriend and I have done some traveling through the last couple years. Mainly in the states but a couple outside destinations including Mexico, Peru, Macedonia and a few other... read more Eastern European countries. I absolutely hate flying. I love seeing new places but hate getting there. Anyways, We met a representative of Exciting Ethiopia Tours at some travel show near her work in SF. She was excited about it and I thought “not a chance.” I never considered going to Africa. Nothing against the country at all but to be honest always felt like it would be dangerous and going there just never even crossed my mind. She kept poking at me to “just look into it a little bit”, I did and slowly over the course of months of doing some research, I found myself changing my mind, I say slowly because it took about 5 months before I agreed. After a long but surprisingly smooth and hassle free plane ride or two we landed in Addis Ababa. Wow, I’m in Ethiopia and I’m in Africa. We were greeted by a man by the name of George Ashebir at the airport. He is the Touring Operator for Exciting Ethiopia Tours. We explored the city and what a treat that was. We ended up George’s village. What a beautiful yet simple life they live. I took for granted the things I have here in the states. Material items we have more here. What they lack in material items they more than make up for with their family/friend bonds, traditions, ceremonies etc. They also brew the best coffee you will ever sip in your life. I travel a lot. I don’t always write reviews. I unfortunately only do when I have had a great experience or a bad experience. I have to work on that. But, if I could recommend one place, one time, one experience for someone out there that might be considering a life changing experience, do your self a favor and call these guys. They set up everything and make everything very easy and communicated wonderfully. Thank you all at Exciting Ethiopia Tours.
