One of the oldest rainforests in Africa, Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. The mountainous region is teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including the L’Hoest’s monkey endemic to the Albertine Rift.
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
You will be met by your driver/guide at the Kigali International airport – meets and greeting, comment on the safari then Driving and Overnight at the hotel Ibis (here for your wish you can choose to sleep in Kigali depending on Time arrived at the airport).
Day 2: Butare – Nyungwe
Start your tour from Kigali heading to Nyungwe National Park via Butare. Where you will visit the King`s palace and the Rwanda national museum. After Butare, head to Gikongoro and visit of Murambi Genocide Memorial Center and then proceed to Nyungwe. Over night at the hotel.
Day 3: Chimps Trekking
Chimps trekking in the morning afterwards spend leisure or do the canopy walk / Nature walk. Then After Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Nyungwe – Kibuye – Musanze
After breakfast, drive to the beautiful lake resort on the shores of the Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the greatest Lakes in Rwanda, and is in the Albertine (western) Rift valley, a part of the Great Rift Valleys. The lake is a 2650 Square kilometer freshwater expanse and the largest of all the lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda. Spend the afternoon by the Lakeshores. Overnight at the resort.
Day 5: Musanze
After breakfast, drive to Musanze the base town for mountain gorillas. Visit of Ibyiwacu Cultural Village; spend your evening at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 6: Kigali City tour
Pick up at your hotel driver to Kigali, have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi, contacts with local people for the discovery of artisanal products (Collar, Bracelet, etc.…), then transfer towards Kigali airport.
